Four diverging anchors, 1 cm apart at skin level, secure
stomach to abdominal wall. The trigger is pushed to assist release of gastric
"T" crosspieces. The needle is rotated before retracting its obturator.
2.
A "J" wire is introduced percutaneously into the
stomach and advanced by "rat-toothed" forceps into the duodenum
(as one wire placement alternative).
3.
A 7 mm steel "Break-Away" dilator/introducer over
the taut "J" wire perforates into the stomach, centered within
the 2 cm apart gastric "T" crosspieces.
